The Stain Test Showdown
We put washing machines through the toughest stain gauntlet in Austin to give you unbiased, real-world performance data. No marketing fluff, just scientific proof.
Our Scientific 3-Step Process
Step 1: The Stains
We apply 12 of the toughest, most common household stains to a brand-new piece of fabric to create a consistent challenge for every machine.
Step 2: The Benchmark
Using a scientific tool called a photospectrometer, we get a precise color reading of the stain before the wash to establish the "100% stain" level.
Step 3: The Proof
After the wash, we take a final measurement of what's left. This allows us to compare the "before" and "after" to calculate the final Stain Removal Percentage.
Top Loaders
These machines often use more water, but many offer a classic deep-fill wash that customers love for heavily soiled loads. Performance can vary widely by model.
Front Loaders
Generally the efficiency champs, front loaders use less water and energy. Our tests show they consistently deliver top-tier stain removal performance across the board.
