We apply 12 of the toughest, most common household stains to a brand-new piece of fabric to create a consistent challenge for every machine.

Step 2: The Benchmark

Using a scientific tool called a photospectrometer, we get a precise color reading of the stain before the wash to establish the "100% stain" level.

Analyzing the clean fabric after washing to get the final result

Step 3: The Proof

After the wash, we take a final measurement of what's left. This allows us to compare the "before" and "after" to calculate the final Stain Removal Percentage.
